Astoria N Train Changes This Weekend: What to Know for Oct. 3–4
Track replacement will affect four Astoria-bound N train stops from early Saturday through Sunday night. Here are the stations and the MTA’s transfer advice.
City
Save these useful Astoria links for N/W trains, neighborhood buses, city services, emergency help and local contacts.
I wanted to put a few of the Astoria links I find myself looking for in one place. Whether you’re figuring out the train, checking a bus, or trying to reach the right city service, these are good ones to save. Routes and service can change, so I’ve linked the official pages where you can check the latest information.
Subway: The N and W trains serve Astoria along 31st Street, with stops including Astoria-Ditmars Blvd, Astoria Blvd, 30 Av, Broadway, 36 Av, 39 Av-Dutch Kills and Queensboro Plaza. Check MTA maps and schedules and service alerts before heading out. Astoria-bound N trains have planned changes this weekend; here’s our Oct. 3–4 update.
Buses: Some routes serving Astoria and nearby Long Island City include the Q18 from Maspeth, Q19 from Flushing, Q69 from East Elmhurst, Q103 between Astoria and Hunters Point, and Q104 between Astoria and Sunnyside. The M60-SBS connects LaGuardia Airport with Manhattan via Astoria Blvd. Use MTA’s Queens route profiles to check a route, and MTA Bus Time for arrivals. One route note if you have an old map saved: the MTA changed the Q102 in 2025, and it no longer follows its former Astoria route. The current Q102 profile has the updated map and details.
I hope having these in one spot saves someone a little time. If there’s another local service you think belongs on the list, send it my way and I’ll add it.
